Hi, all.
On March 25th, I’ll be visiting a class at Yale and giving a book talk that I believe will be open to the public while I’m there. It’ll be at 4:30, and you can reply to this email for details if you’d like to attend. (I don’t actually know where it will be yet, so I cannot provide details now.) I also have a new piece out this week, as I do every week, this time on Lauren Oyler’s essay collection. You can read it here if you like: https://www.washingtonpost.com/books/2024/03/16/lauren-oyler-no-judgment-review/.
This was a great and thorough review. Both of the praise and the critique's of Oyler's upcoming book (and past novel) are often so abstract I can't tell if people just pick a side of loving her or hating her based on _vibes_.
Wow, that was some review. The final paragraph pretty much reflects how I felt about “Fake Accounts.” That being said, Oyler is an interesting voice, and I’m interested to read her essay on autofiction.
